*Java Developer in Software Support (Contract to Hire)**:*

*Boca Raton**, FL***

*Description:*

This programmer will work with the support team to determine the source of
bugs, write test code as necessary to determine where the bug is, work with
the development team to determine the best fix, do some software design, do
software fixes in Java, check code in and out of CVS, potentially assist
with builds, work with testers to ensure verification of the fix, report bug
status in tracking system, have fun, and get along with the team.

*This position requires understanding unusual customer configurations,
replicating those environments and resulting problems in the local lab,
creating special test cases, working with development to convey customer
problems and requirements for future development, and developing
documentation for installation migration. *   Assignments also include
building of new systems for customer shipment and assisting the test team
during our code release cycles.  Some java development projects may also be
assigned.

This work will be on a released product. The bulk of this job will be
troubleshooting and correcting customer problems which may be in the code or
in the network environment.   To accomplish these activities, the developer
must work with the local development and test team and with the remote
installation and support team.   *It requires great communication skills
with a multinational customer set and good development and test background
to recreate the software issues.   *

*The product uses Java J2EE*.  It is currently deployed on Windows, but we
are considering a move to Linux so experience with Linux is desired.

*Additional Info:*

The software product enables secure collaboration between equipment and
personnel located within or external to a fab. It is comprised of several
software components that work in concert with the Application to enable a
collaborative session between fab equipment and one or more users via the
product client. The Application is the main processor for services such as
authentication and authorization, file transfer capabilities, remote
equipment operations, data flow, data storage, decision logic, and real-time
collaboration (chat).

The key difference between what this company offers and standard
connectivity options is the security, control and logging offered by our
products.   Even simple ftp functions are controlled and logged so you
maintain control of your key intellectual property.  Our product is a Java
based application built on the JBOSS application server. When installed, it
is highly networked.

*Qualifications*:

Degree in Computer Science

3 years MINUMUM programming experience AND

2 years Java programming

1 year Java J2EE
