One of TEKsystems top 20 clients in West Broward is hiring a team of 10
Senior Java Developers for a 7+ month project.
Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems applying
principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical
analysis.
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within
time and cost constraints.
Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate the
interface between hardware and software, and the operational and performance
requirements of overall system.
May develop software system installation programs, unit and integration test
procedures, and technical documentation.
Typically participate as a team member on a development project, but may
also be required to work alone.
Evaluates progress and results obtained, recommends major changes to achieve
objectives.
Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of
problems for investigation, novel concepts and approaches.
Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside the
organization, with responsibility for acting independently on technical
matters.
Specific tasks will be laid out on a MS Project schedule and include
design/implementation/code reviews/unit testing. They will also be
responsible for reporting status to Project Manager.
Has working knowledge of compilers, linkers and debugging tools.
Skill Set: Java, Networking, SNMP, SNMP Agents, MIB, Network Management, SQL
JDBC Database, Data Modeling (LDAP/CIM Schemas), Web Services (Axis),
JSP/XML/HTML/Struts/JavaScript, C/C++/COM, Web Application Servers, NetBeans
5.1, Multi-threading experience, Multi-platform experience
This level of professional work requires a bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or similar field with emphasis on Java and web application
development with a minimum of 2-4 years additional experience.
