Immediate Need Technical Business Analyst with BI
Role - Technical Business Analyst with BI
Location - Madison. WI
Duration - 6 month contract
Required Skills:
1. Strong Data & Insurance Experience
- Strong knowledge of insurance industry, insurance products and coverage, and the value of customer analytics
- Ability to identify drivers of business results and recognize appropriate measures, and translate that information to business analytics requirements
- Ability to identify and work with key stakeholders and business partners to develop corporate analytics
- Broad understanding of the data that is available for reporting today along with conceptualizing the data needed for tomorrow, anticipating business needs
- Experience with statistical filing, regulatory and management level report content and fulfilling these requests
- Expertise in data management concepts (data warehousing, collection, storage, quality, integrity, etc.)
- Knowledge of policy & processing systems & their related data (Rating, 3rd Party, Customer)
- Ability to lead efforts to convert today’s data needs (Policy Count) to tomorrow’s needs (Coverable Count) and comprehend impact of the change
- Seeks out knowledgeable people to obtain information or clarify a problem
- Comfortable going out to other areas to discuss existing reports/metrics & current data gaps & opportunities
- Organizational skills
2. Analytical Thinking and Information Gathering
- Develop educational and communication content for delivery of business analytic capabilities
- Develop data management, reporting and testing requirements and manage data quality in collaboration with business systems and data department.
- Ability to take unconnected concepts, find similarities and tie together
- Ability to identify opportunities for efficiencies, and remove redundancies
Capable of identifying sources of information for a wide variety of problems and needs
Develops effective methods to improve the quality of information gathering, resulting in improved content and value
