Tons of new fall/winter yarns arriving!
Mew Mew has always been a Kaffe Fassett Fan. From his first book
GLORIOUS KNITS to his Regia sock yarn , which has just arrived at Mew
Mew's Yarn Shop.
Aren't you a van Gogh fan too? His yarn is here too: Opal sock yarn in
colors inspired by Vincent's paintings. Quite popular here! Or maybe use
it for handwarmers, hat , baby sweater,or underwear?
I am not a big fan of acrylics, but, when neon yarn pulses in your face,
it's like nothing else. KNit a bright orange hat so that you don't
resemble a wild animal.
There's some new colors in both Bulky and wrst. marble.
Rowan Magazine/book #52 is in shop, along with Rowan Felted Tweed Aran,
Kidsilk haze and Kidsilk haze stripe (colors by Kaffe Fassett here
again!), and a new recycled wool called "RENEW" , a tweedy bulky wool .
What best to go with the neon yarn than sparkle and sequins?
Cotton gold is a thin carry- along embedded with sequins.
Gold Rush is a metallic on cones that you can use as a carry along, or,
as mew mew likes to use it, to knit tiny sparkly Xmas stockings.
You'll find LOTS of ruffle making yarns, excellent ideas for quick
gifts.Tundra and Merino are back along with their ruffle making cousins
Tutu, Spectra, and Opus.
If you're a Marble fan, there's a new one from James Brett: Passion
Chunky, a bulky washable wool/acrylic blend in dreamy watercolor
colorways.
Hopefully I will soon finish the toddler pullover in KNITCOL a new
vibrant stripe/jacquard- creating D.K. superwash for display in the
shop.
Also in shop: Eros II for crocheted necklaces, Kristin Nicholas sock
yarn, Noro Kuryon and Silk Garden, rainbow Chunky Mochi, Lana Loft. And
much more!!!
Don't forget to sign up for an A La Carte Class to get help and finish
up all your gift projects. Remember , if you can't do it yourself,
please inquire about finishing , custom knitting, and repair services.
We'll be highlighting quick to make gifts from now until end of year.
Most are free pattern with yarn purchase. Baby Ruffle hat, hand warmers,
potato chip scarf, ruffle scarf, felted nesting bowls and 2 needle
mittens are a few.
The first annual Yarns Along The Rockies yarn crawl was quite a success!
We're already planning for next year! Winner of the basket of goodies at
Mew Mew's was Kay F. Bleakly of Elbert, Co. Congratulations!
Oh, almost forgot, check out the original handcrafted nickel and brass
shawl pins. Some can be seen in the front window of the shop.
Mew Mew's will be hosting the annual sale of handmade items using yarn
from Mew Mew's in December. You may sell your smaller items(hats,
mittens, ornaments, scarves) in the shop on consignment during the month
of December. Stay tuned for more info.
Thank you for your continued support of your local friendly yarn shop,
