InstrumentedAppender + Spring 3.1 + Logback

I'm using Instrumented appender

  <!-- Metrics Appender -->

  <appender name="metrics" class="com.yammer.metrics.logback.InstrumentedAppender"/>

inside the logback.xml, but as soon as I deploy, the SLF4J reports a few warns with the text:

SLF4J: Actual binding is of type [ch.qos.logback.classic.selector.DefaultContextSelector]

SLF4J: The following loggers will not work because they were created

SLF4J: during the default configuration phase of the underlying logging system.

How to initiliaze this appender properly?
