  Hello, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I can confirm this problem as well. It is also apparent on the &lt;br&gt; meteorserver.org website itself. I suspect it&#39;s a Javascript client &lt;br&gt; issue, and defaulting to a different transport may help. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Any meteord hackers have any suggestions about how to solve this &lt;br&gt; problem? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Dionysis Zindros, &lt;br&gt; Kamibu Development Group.

  Nope. But you can always hash a channel name from a username with sha1 &lt;br&gt; + salt to get a hard to guess channel name. I have done that quite a &lt;br&gt; bit.

Just some sort of &lt;br&gt; filter/serializer check for the data itself based on an &amp;quot;Accept&amp;quot; header sent &lt;br&gt; in through the request headers. I think implementing plugins could be interesting, and could &lt;br&gt; be done in a number of ways - it could be argued that right now the &lt;br&gt; ability to define differently named transports with different headers, &lt;br&gt; footers and message templates amounts to a plugin system, and in order

  Aaron, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;ve been away on holiday, just got back last night, hence the spam &lt;br&gt; has now been removed. Tthough I wasn&#39;t really spending much time on &lt;br&gt; Meteor before I went away, I do try and keep the spam under control. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Glad you like Meteor. It is actively maintained, but there are no new &lt;br&gt; releases at the moment.

  The Signal-to-Spam ratio on this list is about 1:5 right now and I &lt;br&gt; haven&#39;t seen a post from a meteor maintainer since I signed up. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Are the maintainers still out there reading this? Can they ban the the &lt;br&gt; spambots from this list? If theres nothing but spam bots in here, the &lt;br&gt; list might as well not exist.

  Ah, I should have searched but I just assumed it was a bug. I had no &lt;br&gt; idea meteor aimed to be client agnostic. I assumed JS + Flash would be &lt;br&gt; about it. &lt;br&gt; I don&#39;t know if I like the idea of plugin&#39;s though, they introduce &lt;br&gt; overhead in the form of plugin management and the only one I can think &lt;br&gt; of is escaping.

  This has been brought up before. The reasoning behind the lack of escaping &lt;br&gt; is that meteor is designed to be client agnostic (which most people seem to &lt;br&gt; agree on). So, because of this, you will need to escapse said strings &lt;br&gt; yourself. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;For more on the debate and the ultimate decision, please see this thread:

  I just found out the hard way that a &amp;quot;\&amp;quot; character is not escaped when &lt;br&gt; passed to a client. Injecting some message ending with a \ can cause a &lt;br&gt; javascript syntax error on the client. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;If meteor is deployed on a site where a user can inject traffic into &lt;br&gt; it, a user might be able to crash all connected meteor clients

  I suspect that you&#39;ll need to find a way to add one more line to the source &lt;br&gt; of these plugins within the iframe: &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;document.domain=document.domai n &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;or something similar.
