Hi,

I had a funny idea this morning.

With an enhanced mod_autoindex, Apache's file listings can integrate
metalinks. Look here:

http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0-Beta1/iso/cd/

With transparent negotiation that I am so keen on, this would eventually
be of lesser importance, but for now it is handy addition to the
metalink generator I think, and it increases visibility of metalinks.

Think that would be great, but I'm not sure it is really helpfull to
be honest: if you have mirrors, you will probably have some kind of
mirror management system and not use something as basic as
mod_autoindex.

So I think there won't be allot of people who will be able to use
this. Still looks very cool! So don't listen to me if you have some
time left ;-)

In principal yes - I also put the links (manually) onto the wiki sites
listing download location for the openSUSE products.

But mod_autoindex turns out to be very helpful at least for my testing,
here. There is _always_ a metalink, like that :-)

I'm a bit curious how search engines and crawlers will deal with it.
robots.txt exclusion does seem to take some time to be picked up...

Don't worry, I had already done it, and it didn't take long ;)
(And I'll publish the module once I made sure that I didn't do anything
wrong with the license.)

Thank you for the feedback!
