It just started working again. Hmmm. It coincided with a reboot.
Did the IP address just change recently perhaps? This isn't dynamic

I've just had the above thought - and implemented it in Java [as a
small modification of my previous Java implementation of WE] - (very)
early indications are actually fairly positive - I'll let you know how
it goes...

To a small degree. I am asking for the average, of the two tasks. So
yes, there is a chance that some of the tasks get rounded up too
high. But the way it is now, they are all being rounded DOWN. So
HALF of us are being short-changed the way it is set up today.

Well, it's (hopefully) recreational and educational! :) , but beyond
that...?
I suppose, if you're looking for more justification, also WEP-M+2 was
conceived to attempt validation of the WEP algorithm, which might be
useful in a mathematical sense...

Well, what's the sense of those M+2 factors?

Lets say we find all factors for one particular M+2.

M=2^123-1 is a prime, M+2 divides by 12345 and 666 (stupid example).

_Seems_ to now be fixed (automatically) [Wednesday 8th Oct 4.30pm
GMT], and therefore I suspect it was a more generic (ie less local)
problem at my ISP. (This has happened once before, though I don't
_remember_ the 'cable' light on the modem going out before). Their
site status report lists/listed an issue ticket for roundabout this
