Timeline on Gantt disappeared

Hi,

I tried to convert an existing project to a template and to then create a second project using this. In the process I changed all the %complete to 0 and had to reset some 'precise' dates to be 'as soon as possible'. Somewhere in the process of all this I lost the Timeline on the Gantt chart. It shows just a single line with no values that I can see. Secondly when I right click on it I cannot change the units (greyed out and Days selected) and I cannot add a top row (again greyed out)

Additionally on the view options for Gantt there is only one level on the Ruler grid on level option. 

I would like the timeline restored. Does anyone know how I can do so? And secondly any idea on how I could have lost it (I am keen not to repeat it!!)

What about calling undo as often as needed until it comes back?

Otherwise you may want to want to send it to Merlin support.

Thanks, Bart.. but to no avail... I checked the timeline box and
nothing appears. Strange indeed.

Hmmm, so there is a Gantt but not any bars in it?
I would suggest you send a copy of the file to Merlin support.
