Installation on Debian system

I have Galileo eclipse on Debian Lenny O/S. The Debian version of
Mercurial is 1.01, which I have installed.

If I want to use the MercurialEclipse plugin, or the HgEclipse, it
expects to find 1.5 Mercurial. Is there a reasonably simple
workaround?
