Subject: Tab completion for Mercurial in PowerShell
Hi Jeremy,

I searched for integration between Mercurial and PowerShell and I found
your Posh-Hg project on CodePlex:

  http://poshhg.codeplex.com/

We already distribute Bash and Zsh tab completion scripts in Mercurial.
I think it would be great if we could distribute your tab completion
script too. What do you think?

(I've Cc'ed to the Mercurial mailinglist since I guess there are people
there who haven't yet thought of getting tab completion in PowerShell.
Please keep the list in Cc in your replies.)

Hi Martin

Sure - I'm more than happy for you to distribute posh-hg with
mercurial if you think that's a good idea.

Thanks

This is a good idea. I've used posh-hg for quite awhile and it works well.

Cool! I'm a Linux user myself so I don't really know anything about
PowerShell. Henrik and Sune told me on IRC that we should bundle most of
the files in posh-hg for it to be useful.

I'm not sure it's nice or good to swallow a bigger project like that. I
had hoped we could just include a single "powershell_completion" file
like we do for bash and zsh.

Maybe it's enough to put a pointer in a file somewhere? There is the
contrib/win32/ReadMe.html file and I'm not even sure when it's shown. If
the Windows installer shows it after installation, then perhaps we could
put a link in that.

Thoughts?

Jeremy could help decide which posh-hg files would make the most sense.

A readme could also point the user to http://psget.net/. psget gives a
simple way to load powershell modules (posh-hg included).

It would be great if the windows installer included this, but I think even
more windows users would benefit if it were included in TortoiseHg.
