why aren't people using the latest version of slic3r?

I was just informed in the reprap channel that SF has fallen largely out of favor w/ the community at large and slic3r is the be-all end-all.  I was going to use skienforge since I laready know it and like having all them numbers and settings at my fingertips, but apparently slic3r is faster and better.  However the big ole question is, why are people here reporting in on slic3r 0.8.* when it is currently on ver 0.9.1?

I think only because it has not been out for long. I use 0.9.1 and like it a lot.

Only problem with 9.0.1 is printing first layer not so nice as previous versions.

I'd be happy if Sound just stuck a fixed Randomized starts feature, and reversed hole perimeter feature into 0.7.2b

Plus anyone who has Mac osx 1.5 (like me) cant use anything higher then the 7.2b.

Ok cool, this is my first time using Slic3r, so far its much more convenient thant SF, but it feels wierd not having 200+ setting available to tweak.
