Hello,

I've just built my first MM 1.5 with the old Y bed. Have horrible vibrations on Y, very visible. Have read that this is one of the main reasons for the second version of Y.
What are the best recommendations or maybe there's a discussion already with them to reduce Y vibrations before upgrading?

Regards
Paulius

Specifically which "old Y bed"?

try removing one bushing. The wood can in certain weather sometimes go a tiny little bit like this -->  http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f2/Regular_skew_quadrilateral.png which of course gives the bushings a really bad day. 3 points define a plane in 3d space, need 4 points for a saddle, so with only 3 bushings constraining the bed they shouldn't be able to bind.
