Even though I didn't vote for him, I cried...and cried...and cried.

You cried for months???? How emo! This election was over long ago.
How can you call yourselves free thinkers when you are so owned by
doubt and over identifying that your minds don't work even well enough
to see what will come when top conservatives like Powel and Buckley
endorsed Obama???? What grade are you kids in????

Dong well will not be enough. Some things to expect: Obama is NOT at
all radical. He won the endorsement of key conservatives because he is
a level headed centrist. Don't look for some revolution in personal
freedoms (beyond what is inevitable anyway). What we need is a
reasonable DIPLOMAT, and we got it. He has eight years to keep us from
flushing down the toilet... not to make the world a wonderful place.
One very important issue to all free thinkers will be court
appointments… but expect concessions.

Getting harassed at work for wearing my American Flag Pin.  My nemisis in the corner tried to engage me in a full scale battle and I told him we could dicuss it later.  I said I am wearing it because I am an American.  He interjected "a liberal american".  I did not deny because I was so pissed I couldnt get past his audacity in asking why I was wearing the flag... I am so mad I am typing at 130.  I might take the rest of the day off.

any suggestions what to say in response?  I'm thinking to say None-ya, but tempted to unload full bore.  Too bad have to keep job for another year!

When "a liberal American" was said it would have been correct to now
say, "yes, a majority American". Winning was one thing. The
jubilation on the streets after we won gave me the chills. Wear that
pin with new pride! It is our America now. If they don't love it,
they can leave it.

I try...  I hate it cause it tastes like self-betrayal sometimes.  It really tweaks a passive/agressive streak.... Wrooahahahahahah spinning spitting head syndrome:)

I try to think of people like that as being much like my dog.  They don't understand and you shouldn't expect them to.  Just pat him on the head and say "good boy" and walk on.
