is it some sort of ego thinger?
i mean...
ashes to ashes, dust to dust...
ya know?
like, do they somehow think that it's far more prestigious to believe
that they've evolved from ashes and dust rather than fish and apes?
this is one of the many reasons why i don't believe that religious
people who make such stubborn stands understand God too well.
instead, i think they've got some very serious ego issues that need
addressing.
they're self-righteous lunatics -- full of hateful strawman arguments
rather than faith and love.
or is it an entitlement thinger?
perhaps they can't deal with the guilt of eating those far lesser
evolved beings who are far lower on the food chain.
that at least makes much more sense, conscious-wise -- morally
speaking.
however, if so, most of those same people have no problem at all with
killing their fellow man in wars over land rights or other such greedy
trivialities, so moral consistency is hardly one of their strong
points.
it appears that being against the idea of evolution is actually a
matter of taking the evil/easy way out.
talk about ironies.
