SMIViewer and SMISDK Download Page    


Are SMIViewer/SMISDK projects opensource? Where can I get the source code?

 

This is your lucky day! We just (as of July 25 2009 11:55PM PDT) made SMISDK open source under [Project page]. The code for SMIViewer is not open source yet, but keep watching this page for any updates.

What is this page about?

 

This page will host download and support information for all versions of SMIViewer (a totally free DICOM volume analyzer for research) and SMISDK (a totally free software development kit for medical image analysis, for teaching and/or research).


Note: The software available on this page are not to be used clinically for any diagnosis purposes. The primary purpose of sharing them free of cost is only to help medical imaging research and education flourish. If you have any doubts/questions in this regard, please write immediately to the primary author at pixel.to.life@gmail.com.

[1] SMIViewer: Please send email to pixel.to.life@gmail.com with the subject line "SMI-BUG" or "SMI-REQUEST". Please attach any log/dump files that you can. These files are usually in current user's temporary folder.

 

[2] SMISDK: Please send email to pixel.to.life@gmail.com with the subject line "SMISDK-BUG" or "SMISDK-REQUEST". Please attach any log/dump files that you can.

As you may be aware, Science.Medical.Imaging is a public group, developing resources free of cost for the community. We use personal resources (personal computers, weekend development hours etc.) for this purpose.

A. SMISDK Lakshya (Science.Medical.Imaging Software Development Kit, Lakshya)

Lakshya (Sanskrit): noun. Aim, target.

Lakshya (SMI expanded form, English): Locally Adaptive Knowledgebase SHared Yet Again.

 

 

Version 1.0.0.1, SMISDK-Lakshya, released 08/24/2008:

First ever release with 5 basic example projects focussing on data reading/writing, rendering (MPR/Volume), basic image analysis. More to come in future versions.
