At time of development the only way to connect the XBox 360 to a UPnP
server, was to have a service that is only found on Microsoft services
(used for registering for DRM content) and for the server itself to be
claimed to be made by microsoft. Legal would not allow us to pretend
to be microsoft (although there are other servers out there that do).

I can get my XBox to see Google Media Server, but then it gives me the
8 digit Media Center Extender code to plug into Media Center and I
can't get pass that step.
Any thoughts?

Actually, when I goto Video it shows my computer, but then gives me an
error saying it can't connect. Tells me to make sure this console is
activated with my computer.

Don't select the "Windows Media Centre" option, instead go to one of
the Music, Videos, or Pictures options, and press the blue X button to
change source. It should list the UPnP server there.
Well, I just get to see that no servers exist... I can test connection
and everything is OK until PC Select.
There are no serving PC's.. this is no firewall problem, since I can
see my PC when using WMP 11 (which sucks for serving HD stuff and non
WMP media)
I just copy pasted that xml on the wiki posted above and replaced the
xml inside the xml file on my C drive with it (after backup).
However, my serial isnt 8 digits "dash" 4 digits... but 7 digits
"dash" 5 digits..
I tried both ways (just moved the dash one to the right so it was 8-4
again). but none of em work :S
I guess I am doing something wrong.. any thoughts??

Update:
I changed the XML file the wrong way.. one must use the original XML
setup, and edit the values. Don't use the XML from the wiki posted
above, just use their values..
However. now I can see my Google Media Server.. I can't use it.. When
I try to connect it sais that I might have some firewall problems..
Do I have to update the serviceList inside the XML too ?? My thoughts
are that when I do that, I screw up the google media server..
Does someone have his GMS working with Xbox360 yet?? If so please post
your XML file so other people can use it.
