QSM problem - MEDI Toolbox

Dear,

I would like to use QSMbox to analyze data from a research project on Parkinson's disease.

However, I am having problems with QSM with distorted images (attached). I am also sending the DICOM images magnitude/phase.

I am also sending the DICOM images of the exam.

I did the processing in the following sequence:

- Loading of DICOM images

- Mask (Bet)

- Fitting

- Unwrapping (Region Growth or Laplacian)

- Blackground Fiel Removal (PDF)

- MEDI (Lambda = 1000, Edge = 0.9, SMV Radius = 5 - not activated)

Obs .: Blackground Fiel Removal (LBV) is showing error in MEX file extension.

Systems:

- MacOS Catalina 10.15.3

- Matlab R2019b

- MEDI toolbox (updated Jan 15, 2020)

How should I proceed?

Hi Diego,

 

Can’t help with the distortion problem, but I had the same problem with LBV on in QSMBox on Catalina. I also tried copying the LBV mex file from MEDI and that didn’t work either. I fixed it by downloading the LBV source code from github and recompiling the mex file. I haven’t downloaded either toolbox for a while, so it’s possible it's been fixed in recent versions.

You can go to the 'functions/_LBV' directory and run 'mex mexMGv6.cpp'.
