The instructions for adding the code to a MT installation includes a
script for the Main Index and a script for the Individual Entry Archive
template, but doesn't mention other templates at all.

If I wanted to track hits to my monthly archive page or my archive
listing page or any other templates, can I just use the script for the
Main Index? Or should I not want to be measuring hits to my other blog
pages?

Do you need to have individual archives for Measure Map to work?

Hi Valette,

You can add the basic tracking script to any page on your site:

<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://tracker.measuremap.com/a/#your_blog_id#"></script>

(Just replace #your_blog_id# with your blog's ID, of course.)

Hits to any non-"Individual Entry Archive" pages will be factored into
your Visitors stats, though those pages will not show up in your Posts
stats -- since they're not posts.  Measure Map works this way because
it focuses on "visitors" and "posts" rather than "hits" and "pages" in
order to provide more meaningful, blog-specific stats.

Does that answer your question?
