Description: Performance Management Trainer Tracking Code 5983 Job Description Part-time classroom trainer with extensive experience in performance management, adult learning theory, facilitation, and change management needed to teach courses on performance management throughout the USA. Will be responsible for teaching multi-day content courses to client staff at least through April 2006. Travel outside the metropolitan DC area is required.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct client-specific content courses to DOD staff. 2. Serve as substitute trainer as necessary and work as part of a team. 3. Track and report back to project management on training administrative matters such as attendance, evaluations, and needed improvements to training material. 4. Able to work at the client site as needed. Required Skills Position requires a degree in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Instructional Design, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience. Experience conducting training on performance management topics is required. Exposure ? either through direct work experience or through contractor work experience ? to the Federal government, and especially its human resource management structure, also is required. Requires experience facilitating and teaching courses with limited planning time using standardized curricula that cannot be modified; the ability to quickly learn and teach multiple courses with different content; and experience teaching materials with content that is difficult or controversial to participants who may be resistant to change.

Must be flexible and able to deal with last-minute changes to schedule or content. Must have excellent oral communications, PowerPoint, and facilitation skills. Must be willing to travel out of state up to 5 days per week.

Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; and Mechanicsburg, PA metropolitan area candidates are preferred; however, will consider candidates from other locations. All candidates are expected to pay their own travel expenses for a teach-back presentation and a 2-day Train-the-Trainer session held in the Washington, DC, area. Job Location Rockville, MD, US.
