12 Months Description: Qualifications: Education and Experience 7 + years of relevant and technically progressive experience including test, design, repair or maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. Must have high school, GED or US military electronics tech school diploma. AA technical degree preferred. Complexity of Duties Applies extensive technical knowledge to solve unique problems on manufacturing and process control equipment. Familiarity with troubleshooting and programming techniques for PLCs, MMI s, electromechanical sensors and controllers is required. Works as member of technical team solving complex problems, implementing engineering upgrades and installations for manufacturing and process control equipment. Plans and executes assignments within guidelines of instructions received from project personnel. Assembles and installs electrical control hardware and wiring. Able to install electrical conduits and raceways for manufacturing equipment and con Responsibilities: Under the guidance and/or authorization of appropriate supervisor, provide technical support for engineering projects within the Molecular Diagnostics plant. This support would typically include: the diagnosis of complex problems in manufacturing equipment, development and implementation of solutions to said problems, creation of engineering drawings for new or replacement components to manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting and updates to PLC software, assistance writing operating procedures and validation procedures for manufacturing equipment, assistance performing validations for manufacturing equipment, generation and recording engineering data and results including engineering drawings and reports. Will support production for breakdowns and routine maintenance. Responsibilities/Accountabilities Conforms to Quality Policies and Procedures as set forth in the BDDS Quality Manual.
