Has anyone found any literature or run any tests personally on whether
non-established populations should be included in the file to train
your Maxent model? In the introduced barnacle I am studying there are
several populations where the barnacle has been documented, but it is
unclear whether it has established populations in these locations. In
my first couple of attempts running my model these locations are
predicted as the most likely locations for the barnacle. However,
physiological temperature data suggest it is unlikely that the
barnacle can establish in these locations and the barnacle is found at
very low densities in these locations.
Cheers,
Sam

Try looking at the literature. There are some good papers by Soberon on this topic but it has a long history....
