New issue 115 by gabriele...@alfresco.com: Alfresco Maven plugin failing to
overwrite existing files
http://code.google.com/p/maven-alfresco-archetypes/issues/detail?id=115

Even though it's a worst practice (original distro files should not be
overridden), for now when an AMP contains a file which is already present
in the Alfresco WAR the AMP installation process of the Alfresco Maven
Plugin fails (independently from the backup / force options) with an error
like:

This is due to

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal
org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-war-plugin:2.3:war

...

01200000 An IO error was encountered during deployment of the AMP into the
WAR:
/Users/mindthegab/Dev/alfresco/workspace/myproject/target/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/module/backup/ebcd5a97-7b50-11e2-a497-dd8c637f320b.bin
-> [Help 1]

This is due to https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-17783.

A fix for ALF-17783 was added, see
https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-17783?focusedCommentId=211924&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-211924.

Until a new release of the SDK is done, a workaround is to use the
alfresco-maven-plugin 1.0.2 snapshot, as suggested at
https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-17783?focusedCommentId=211950&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-211950

Hi,

I just stumbled upon a regression on this issue. It seems like this problem is back.

Looking into the dependencies of the pom.xml of alfresco-maven-plugin of 1.0.2-SNAPSHOT:

<dependency>
<groupId>
org.alfresco
</groupId>
<artifactId>
alfresco-mmt
</artifactId>
<version>
4.2.b
</version>
</dependency>

In ALF-17783 its stated that it should be 4.2.d-SNAPSHOT???

Having big issues building my project now, will try to override.

Thanks
/Erik

Very strange Erik. Maybe some old local dep?

The plugins trunk says 4.2.d-SNAPSHOT....just did a mvn deploy anyway.

Let me know if it's fixed,

Gab

Hmm,

Surfing to the code in the browser says 4.2.b for me anyway.

Just did a checkout of trunk and it says 4.2.b as well.

I'm out of ideas...
