Hello to all (my first post) and thanks for all the people taking the
trouble to answer Qs here...

I have have had the Cocoa version installed for a while and have
really enjoyed learning with it but can someone tell me why is there a
Cocoa version rather than a Gimp plug in on OS X?

Are there any plans for a version of the Mathmap plug in for Gimp OS
X? I have often wonderd why this is the case...

Thanks

Ben

A long, long time ago Herbert Poetzl and I decided to implement the
MathMap Cocoa application, more or less for fun. We've updated it
once since then, but I've been told it breaks on Snow Leopard. I
don't know whether we'll pick it up again.

There is no single reason for why there is no pre-compiled GIMP
plug-in for OSX. For one, it's not trivial to get all the
dependencies together, so it's a bit of a pain to build and to
package. If enough people bug me I'll do it eventually, as I did with
Windows :-). If somebody else wants to jump in and do it, I'd be more
than happy to assist them.

At the moment i don't upgrade to SnowLeopard just because I fear
loosing MathMap Cocoa.
I'm very interested in it.

Hope you'll change idea.
