Dear friends:

As you know, I've been working for the past 2.5 years to help teachers
teach math in a new and more engaging way. In that time, I'm proud to say
that you've become part of the Mathalicious family.

This morning we announced a Kickstarter campaign <http://www.math52.com/> for
Math52, a weekly video series that will explore a unique application of
math in everyday life. Kickstarter allows donors to fund creative projects
that they care about, from watch bands to photography books. We are using
it to offer a fresh vision of what it means to teach math.

For the campaign to be successful, we need to raise $164,000. (To put this
in perspective, LeBron James makes this in a single NBA game.) For the
same amount, we can transform how millions of students learn math...and how
they see the world.

I would be grateful if you would help support this effort by donating to
Math52 <http://www.math52.com/>. And if you have friends or colleagues who
are passionate about improving education, please share this email with
them. I believe we have a unique opportunity to make a lasting and
positive change -- to support smarter students and happier teachers -- and
thank you for your help.

Yours,
Karim
