ER630 filler is a matching filler to 17-4 PH steel. Welds in this steel are usually age -hardened to get the matching strength as the B.M. Refer ASTM A-564 for guidance on Heat Treatment. The cracked areas should be finely ground to a softer metal. Check the hardness of the area to be repaired & compare the same with the B.M to get the idea.
Smaller repairs may be left as welded . Larger build-ups would call for PWHT(age hardening). For valve shaft age hardening may difficult if it’s not dismantlable. Check over all hardness after repair, as well as clear PT.
