Hi Everyone,

A question related to Section 6.5 of API 510, Internal, On - Stream, and Thickness Measurement Inspections

When the remaining life is less than 4 years, the inspection interval may be the full remaining life up to a maximum of 2 years

Need help with this guys, what does it mean, my take is

if 3.5 years balance, inspection interval is 3.5 years

if 2.1 years balance, inspection interval is 2.1 years

if 1.9 years balance, FFS takes over

Please correct, one concept i just cannot understand in the 510 exams

Thanks

Raghu Raman

Api 510 inspection interval

If remaining life is 10 years or less
Inspection interval has it is.

If remaining life is greater than 10 years
1/2 of the life is inspection interval

If the remaining life is between 2 to 4 years
Inspection interval is 2 years.

If the remaining life is less than 2 years
Full inspection interval.

Please correct me if iam wrong
