REPAIR OF METAL LOSS BY COLD WELD (BELZONA)

dear members ,

i asked if repair codes or standers of pressure equipment allow to
repair metal loss in pressurized equipment with cold weld (BELZONA) if
allow it please give me your reference depending to ASME /API codes or
STD ,thanks for your time

As per my view cold weld compound can not be used as substitue to weld built up. It is just used as cismetic work to facilitate coating or lining.

As per API570 &510,
Reapir depend on thickness measurement.

permenant repair shall be done by flushing plate welding/hollow cylinder.

Temporary leak can b arrested by leak clamp.
