All,

I just wanted to send the group a quick note to let you know that we
plan on rolling out real-time information for a significant number of
additional routes next Monday.  Our goal is to launch the updated feed
early in the day and will send an update to this group and twitter as
soon as we go live. As with any rollout, we need your help to make
sure everything is working well.  Please use this group as a way to
let us know about any issues with the feed our problems you are having
with your applications.

I also wanted to invite developers to a meeting on August 9 at 6pm.
The meeting will be held at our office at 10 Park Plaza in Boston.
The meeting will be a chance to answer any questions you have about
real-time bus information and solicit your input on some of our
ongoing projects.  Additionally, we are planning on rolling out an app
gallery in August and want to make sure we have your feedback and
application information before going live.  This meeting will be a
chance for you to participate in what is next for the initiative.
Please keep the date on your calendar -- we will send more details
next week.

Thanks again for being a part of this initiative and have a great
weekend!
Josh

All,

The additional 118 routes have launched. As always the feed we need
your help identifying any feed issues with the new routes. We will
keep you updated on issues and changes.

Best,
Josh

Hi Josh,

The new routes have the same title and name values for directions in
routeConfig:

<direction tag="83_8310026v0_0" title="Rindge Ave. via Porter Square"
name="Rindge Ave. via Porter Square" useForUI="true">

And "name" isn't "inbound" or "outbound". Contrast with the existing
routes, like the #1. Is this going to be changed?

Thanks,
Joe

I've noticed that on the Nextbus side of things, the paths for the
routes look a bit skewed on some routes (i.e CT2, 8, 9) and it seems
to reflect the route shapes on the schedule interactive maps side. In
the original feed for the 4 test routes, the paths were drawn cleanly.
Is there anyway that this will change to have some sort of clarity
(similar to the maps for the hand schedules)?
