BEIJING, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping has
called on scholars to enhance the study of localization of Marxism in
China.

Xi, also president of the Party School of the Communist Party of
China (CPC) Central Committee, sent a congratulatory letter to the
China Marxism Forum held by the China Foundation for Marxism Studies
on Dec. 8 and 9, saying more efforts should be made to study the fruit
of the Marxism's localization in China.

Xi, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC
Central Committee, said in the letter that Marxism was the Party and
the nation's founding theories, and the Party had combined the theory
with the country's realities and the characteristics of the age.

He said the forum should become an influential platform for
publicizing Marxism research results and promoting Marxism.
