Our point of departure is existing society: people's struggles to wipe out oppression, division, and degradation. Our main barriers may be our own dogmas. We discover, and build the future through ruthless criticism of, and struggle against, the present, without fear of consequence or power.

Compare to the recent story in the New Yorker. There's a strong
temperamental difference. While the New Yorker cites an investment banker
with doubts about the system with lightness and irreverent nonchallance in
the tone, the NYT is always uptight, self-conscious of its role as guardian
of the self image of U.S. liberal capitalism. Here is hoping that when it comes time to put together the DVD for his
latest film, Moore collects video testimonials like this and puts
them
in the package. The problem with the youtube format is it dilutes the
experience. For all I know, there are ten or ten thousand such videos
there.
The dilution results in the loss of polemic impact.

Why the Mitsubishi part of course. And it looks like Peugeot-Citroen
is set to capitalize on Mitsubishi's superiority in manufacturing
electric vehicles.

Their electric car is for real. I can't see it catching on in the US
but in Europe and Asia it clearly sets the standard--like Toyota and
Honda did for hybrids.
