I saw the advantage of a network solution and not using a computer
when I set up my station. I initially set it up using the Marine
Tracker application while waiting for my bridge to come in and
appreciated it more with that experience. My physical layout even
made running CAT 5 cable a bit of a hassle with my receiver on one
end of the house and router on the other. I opted for an RS 232 to
Wireless G Bridge and after a week have to consider it a success. I
used a Qualtech, Airborne Direct Serial to Wireless G ABDB-SE device
into my Cisco access point. It does not have an ethernet connection,
so you have to program from the Wireless interface using a GUI
interface. The Wireless setup was normal; however, I had some trouble
getting the 232 bridge side up. Its a pretty powerful little box and
figuring out the options gave me some trouble. However, I was able to
get it going with the GUI and did not have to resort to the more in-
depth CLI programming
