Recently when I check the live map with My fleet turned on I see every
ship in My Fleet, not just the ones that are actually live and being
recieved. I see many "semi transparent" ships with status Out of
range, some of them recieved over 300 days ago.
I want to see only the live ones currently transmitting, like i used
to be able to see. If i run Marinetraffic in my iphone app it shows
only the live ones like always

So, I can see you are experiencing identical problem I wrote about a
couple of months ago.
I agree that in some situations it may be useful to see the last
recorded position of a vessel but at the same time information
relevant to that position shall be available. Seeing instead data that
are months old is confusing and simply annoying.
I am basically using Chrome as my browser but I also checked it on IE
and found identical problem. Cleaning the cache, killing all cookies
and similar acrobatics do not seem to make any improvement.
It looks to me like this is the result of some bug in the main server
software but, unfortunately, I have never ever seen a single word of
comment from the providers of this (by the way very useful)
application. Surprisingly, you say it works properly on your iPhone
but I believe mobile application is a separate thing, apparently free
from the 'bug'.
Cheers,
Chris

Wow! It looks like something has changed :-)
'Out of range ships' are still on the screen but their details show
correct data. It means the information pertains to the last recorded
position. That is absolutely fine. I can see the last known vessel's
position and the information (e.g. Destination & ETA) transmitted by
the vessel at that very moment.
Thanks to whoever has sorted it out.
