All HUD grants - both direct grants and those thru OTDA must use HMIS (except Dom. Violence and legal services). Give me a call I'd be happy to discuss.

Response from NYS OTDA on SHP-HMIS reporting question:

Hi Daniel,

I am responding to the question you posed to the MAHRMIS group about whether OTDA requires NYSSHP grantees to report in HMIS.  If you are referring to the NYS Supportive Housing Program, OTDA encourages, but at this point does not require NYSSHP grantees to enter data into HMIS.  I have cc’d Andrea Collins as she is my colleague who manages that program for OTDA.
