Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to test my exe using marathonITE. When i click on record button the application gets launched and i'm getting exception saying
"java.lang.RuntimeException: looking up runtime instantiator" and the application gets struck. Is there anything i'm missing ?

I tried to disable my firewall but it didn't helped me to solve this issue.

I'm attaching the error logs.

I'm using Jdk 1.6 and Marathonite 3.3.2 .

Any help is appreciable.

Thanks in advance,
Achyuth.

The log seems to point to a firewall issue. Marathon seems to unable to start listening on a socket.

Can you send me your .project file. Shall check it whether it has any issues.

Hello,

Is your JDK the latest version (6u45)? If not, can you upgrade and see whether the problem is solved?

Kind Regards,
KD

Hi,

It looks like an issue with 6u45 version so i went a head and installed 6u35 and it launched my application. But after launching im getting ""java.lang.RuntimeException: looking up runtime instantiator" exception.

Is there anything i'm missing ?

Thanks in advance,
Ramayya.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response. I had installed the latest version of jdk as per your suggestion. Now i'm not able to launch application from test.

Hi,

Can you send across the fixture file being used by you. If you have not created a new fixture, then marathon uses default.py as the fixture.

Hi,

I have not saved the test case. I just created new and clicked start recording button. It launches the application and throws this exception.

Thanks,
Ramayya.
