how to tile just a region of interest in the image
|

Hello I have tried maptiler and it is a nice piece of software, very useful However, I wonder if it is possible to avoid it processing the whole source image, when I am interested in just an area of the image. Figure out my image covers a large area, but I am only needing a certain part of it (lets say I want the tiles for the city in the center of my... more »

generating kml with '-p antialias' and hybrid tile generation
|
| |
I have two questions about gdal2tiles and maptiler: 1) When using the gdal2tiles 'antialias' profile to merge tiles, is there a way to get one kml for the whole tree? It seems like appending '--force-kml' only writes the kml for the last image, overwriting and not merging with the previous kml. 2) Is there currently a way to batch process individual images and create... more »

Poor resolution at high zoom levels
|
| |
The source image for the overlay I am using (of an old map) has a good
resolution even when zoomed close in enabling me to read the text on
the map.
When I run the image through MapTiler it recommends rendering it for
zoom levels 13 - 16. If I override this and make it (for example) 1 -
16 the output when zoomed in on the map is of a much lower resolution... more »

Hey Petr, Great software. I'm looking into a way to illustrate the evolutionary tree and I've been experimenting with your mapping software to generate a map for the Hillis Plot to make it easier to navigate. I've got a couple of questions if you could spare a moment I'd be very greatful. Here's the link... more »
