Hi,
You may encountered this problem:
http://www.google.com/mapmaker?ll=31.816127,57.302021&spn=0.002781,0.005965&z=18
(I will not correct it for a while to be remain as an example of this
problem)
"Two road sections end very near to each other but they are not
connected. "
Currently, this problem usually will be found if someone tries to find
a direction which should be passes through this road.
But I think these miss-connections can be found very easily, by
running a server side script (can be done once a week or even once a
month!) to detect such deadends. Then the results can be either
publish to GMM to be moderated.

You can vote for it in Issue #449: http://code.google.com/p/google-mapmaker/issues/detail?id=449

Cheers,
Ali,

Mohammad,

Take care that the "snap to grid" algorithm for connecting the road
segment you're adding to nearby roads is sensitive to the current zoom
level. Pressing Enter (when you finished drawing the road and want to
show up the New Road dialog) while zoomed out has a higher chance of
connecting to nearby roads. At a high zoom level, you have to be more
accurate to get the road connected to other roads.

Obviously, there's also a workaround: you draw the road at maximum
zoom level, then zoom out a bit and hit Enter.

Anyways, the problem being discussed is whether is possible to detect
such disconnections. Ideally, when you add a road you should verify
it's properly connected before pressing Save; if it's not, cancel and
redraw properly. Many users don't do this :)

Regards,
Dan C.
