Hi Kuga,

Yes, you must use phototextures instead of SketchUp textures. The
intent is for the model to blend in with the rest of Google Earth
(buildings and imagery), and SketchUp textures don't look right in
context.

Hi

I had made very nice model , but just because of the texture wast
exact . it wasn't approved .
I just want to know why the texture is so important ?! the building I
made contains two parts : 1 roof : that looks eve better with SketchUp
textures and walls that are white , I had also drowns windows
myself !! is it better to windows to be texture or drown ?!

thank you , please answer me .

Windows definitely need to be phototextured, not modeled in geometry.
SketchUp window textures, using material transparency, will render
opaque in Google Earth. Phototextures serve two purposes: they allow
you to simplify the geometry so that Google Earth rendering
performance is acceptable, and they fit in with Google Earth imagery
and the other phototextured buildings to create a more realistic view
of the region.
