Could someone please guide me as to how to draw parallel lines on a
Map. I need to draw lines that are 2640 feet apart both horizontally
and vertically. I have searched and cannot find the proper
instruction within Mapinfo. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Vertically? Are we speaking z values?
But my usual trick is to use the buffer function to make a banana zone
with desired width and then snap a polyline to the buffer perimeter.

Why not use the grid-maker and set the grid size to 2640 feet ?

Ctrl-U, select Tool Manager, set Grid Maker to Loaded, and go for it.

That did it, THANKS. I had tried that previously but my Map Window
was too big. I reduced it and it worked great.

I am sorry - I did not understand the guy was asking for a grid.
But it was a strange description.

Gary,
One trick is to use the grid tool (Tools>Tool manager>grid maker)where
you can choose polylines and spacings. It may work for you.
Another more manual method is to draw your initial line, copy/paste it
and double click it - you can alter both the start and end points by the
required amounts for the relevant coordinate.

Only works for East/west, north/south lines though - unless you then
select the lot and rotate.

How about

Objects > Offset ?

That should let you "move" a line a certain distance

I used regularly  a tool called: VOParallel_MLC  it's not exactly the same thing as VOParallel

I got it from Jacques Paris's web site a few years ago.
I think it's no longer there.

If anyone is interested I place the file on the MI google site. So people can downloaded it.

Hello again.
I downloaded a copy of the parallel line drawing MBX and tried to use it in MIF.
Am I right in thinking that it works only on non-earth Cartesian maps and not normal spherical ones ?

Not sure bill.. I use NAD83 double Stereographique for New-Brunswick Canada. I'm in meters.
I don't think it work in degrees.
On one of the tool buttons (about) will give a bit more info on what it can do.

best regards,
