Hi there,

I am using the excellent Routeware Toolbox to split a table of
polylines at nodes.
Unfortunately, this is a rather big table with more than 200.000
lines. The estimated time to finish the operation is somewhere around
30 hours (on my machine).

Is there any way to speed this up? I already have closed all map or
browser windows.
Is there an alternative? It would be sufficient to split a polyline at
existing nodes, no need to create new ones.

I would be grateful for any insight on this!

One question - is this on your C Drive of your computer, or over the network? I have found that some tools may take 10 times longer over a network.

Hi,

The attached application only splits at existing nodes.

I am stunned!

Your tool solved my task in a few minutes!

Thank you *very* much for your help, and also for the important hint
concerning the performance over a network. Working on local files
indeed speeds things up (and a lot more as I might have supsected in
the first place).

Hi,

Splitline.mbx is fantastic.

But is there any mbx available for splitting polyline(network) at
intersections?
