Not sure if anyone else is encountering this problem, but every time I load a json map in Tiled and make any changes, my background is wiped. The layer is still there, but there is no image attached and when I try to run my level, I get an error saying it can't find the background.

I used to use .tmx format and never had this problem, but have switched to .json with the new melonJS 0.9.7 release.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike,
Nope, you found a bug and thanks for reporting it! :-)

I've fixed it with commit
https://github.com/bjorn/tiled/commit/ffb54ad4acd2244db629654da704f743793a8076,
which should go into the daily builds soon.

Best regards,
Bjørn

Hey Bjørn,

Maybe a n00b question, but how will I know when I can pull down a daily build and it will have this update?

Thanks,
Mike

That depends on your platform.

* The Windows daily builds runs overnight in Germany, though last
night it seems no new build was created. I'll ask Stefan Beller what's
up.
* For Ubuntu, the tiled-daily package was updated 4 hours ago.
* I'm not sure where to check whether the CentOS, Fedora, openSUSE and
RHEL dailies have been updated, but when using the repository you
would notice when the update notifier tells you about an update.
* There are no daily builds for Mac. Maybe I should do a fundraiser so
that I can fix that.

Regards,
Bjørn

Just in case anybody is still waiting for news about the Windows daily
builds, I'm now doing them "manually" though I've automated the
process enough that it will only take me a few seconds to trigger, so
all I need to do is not to forget to trigger them after pushing a new
change. This means generally Windows dailies are up to date again.
Still, I'll try to automate it fully later on.

Also, a fundraiser is no longer needed for Mac daily builds! See
