I posted this in the general reactions thread to the Dec09 update but
I did not get an official response.

There were several categories that were removed that I think were very
descriptive. What are the replacements?

The ones that I want are:

Apartment Complex
Apartment Building
Office complex
Office building

Land mark is also seen removed. For items not included in the list I
used to categorise it as Land mark

Hi Everyone,
We are aware that certain categories have been removed from the list
after the recent upgrade. We will be adding them back soon.

Regards,
Map Maker Guide.

I don't want to sound ungrateful for your reply because I really am
grateful that somebody has finally replied. I can't fathom why my
posts are usually just ignored for at least three days before a reply
is given while others receive a reply almost immediately from Jenmazz.

Sorry about that Wayne. Sometimes posts get piled up and it takes a
while to get a reply. Please consider this to be just a coincidence.
We definitely do not want to ignore anyone ..., specially not a
trusted super-mapper :-)

Hi

I would also request GMM to add a category 'Convent' as a large number of such POIs are irregularly posted/classified.

One more thing that got me miffed was how fast the 30km/h update which
was only for Pakistan and India was done only in a matter of 2 days.
If only changes like those would be done for everybody, I would not
feel as ignored.
