It *seems* as if there should be some synergy between Google Wave and
the mapping/moderation workflow. If anyone wants to explore this,
maybe we could collaborate.

Google Wave is apparently not giving invitations out immediately to
those who were nominated. I'll leave this topic alone for a while.
Google Wave isn't working all that well anyway.

Hi All,
It seems that many Map Maker users would love to have invites for
Google Wave. As Mohammad Reza has aptly put it, as a 'gift' for avid
mappers, we would like to send out some invites for Google Wave. So,
please add your email id's to this thread and we will send out the
invites as soon as possible. Please note that the invitations take
some time to get processed and you can expect a delay in actually
getting the invite.
Additionally, as you will understand, this gift is limited to
availability and will be extended on a first-come first-served
basis :)
Cheers!
Map Maker Guide.

I want to go back to the main topic, that is, how to use Wave in the
moderating workflow, but I guess it should be a separate thread,
either here or in a wave.
Also, I guess we'll first need a "person discovery" process to allow
those using Wave to add collaborators as Wave contacts so they can
talk at all.
Uh oh, looks as if the Wave "folder create" function doesn't work,
which will make organization of threads difficult.

On the first hour, I saw a possibility of inviting 8 more people. I invited 4 and kept the rest in reserve. None of the invited one has received them yet. And now when I check, I do not see a way to use my remaining invites too!
I would like to see some of our MM friends appearing in my wave spectrum :)

The Google Wave Contacts function is frustrating. I put your id
[username at googlewave.com] into the search contacts box and it:
--said you could't be found
--displayed you alone in the Contacts listing and started some process
--after 30 seconds finished and displayed you.
I then blanked the search box and you showed up among my contacts.
