Greetings

Just to clear the cobwebs in my mind, could some one please give
opinion on the following statements:

A- The length of Attributes `Beginning, Middle, End' is not defined.
Apparently, they look useless.

B- But their only use is to create intersection point/s with the
`Surface' road/s and that defines their specific location. This is an
artificial intersection only because the Underpass has not physical
link with the `Surface' Road.

C- Unless there is some other specific reason, wouldn't it be more
simpler to keep the `Underpass' simply as an `Underpass' without any
such attribute. And when the `Underpass' comes out in the open, make
it `Surface'.

D- The only advantage that I can see is that these Intersections
provide more geographical information. Is that correct?

Any additional information would be welcome. thanks.

Any length of road feature complies with this. Point from where you start drawing is Begging (marker A) and rest is respectively.

B-   But their only use is to create intersection point/s with the

When choosing Underpass/Overpass from category list then it avoids making intersection with adjacent roads and that is the main purpose of creating the underpasses and overpasses. Since traffic cant jump from an overpass to its crossing road so then if there is an intersection that will make directions turn unless turn restrictions are edited.

I couldn't understand this!

Intersections gives more flexibility in directions rather than just geographical information. A crossing can also be marked as traffic circle anyway.
