I would love to do a shirt run but they always seem to happen on race weekends. Maybe next time. MTC is pretty awesome.

Same here. It's on the same day as the B2B IM. Dang scheduling
conflicts.

Will you send out details of location etc, or is that a closely guarded
secret?

Jonathan,

It's as closely guarded as the World Wide Web will let it be...

Maps, etc... are all at the links on the page.

Cheers,
Doom

Boy, that's a sneaky place to hide it! I normally have to ask my beloved wife to find things that I can't find because they are in plain view ;}-

Yes Mark I will be there. I am planning to bring Spike as well. We're starting his training again. We gave him a break after he got hit by a truck. He's kinda dumb but he makes up for it in cute- and sweetness!
I would also like to bring you a couple of shirts to get the MTV logo put onto.
Thanks for everything,
Bridget

The shirt run is 15 miles. Anyone planning on doing a few more miles? I'll probably be aiming for somewhere between 25 and 30+, deo volente.

Jonathan,
I would be interested in running a double shirt run. 30 miles. Start
the run at the finish and run to the start and run back with the
group. I have done this several times and it is a quite enjoyable way
to sneak in 30 miles and still have fun.

That sounds like a fine plan! What time are you setting off and what pace do
you fancy?

Anyone else want to seek in some extra fun?

I usually start no later than 6:00 A.M. That will give you 2 hours to
cover the 15 miles to the start. I am prepared to run whatever pace
you want for the first 15 miles. I'm not quite sure on my endurance
level there after. If you want to run fast for the first 15, I'm
ready. However, any pace is fine and any other runners are welcome.
Ideally you would want to take it easy on the way to the start. Then
comfortably cruise in back to the finish. I'm up for any stratagey.
What would you like to do pace wise??

Tom will lull you into a false sense of security with this talk of easy pace...

The double shirt provides a new appreciation for the shirt run course.

15 miles in 2 hours is 8 min/mile pace, which should be entertaining ;}

I'm up for doing the first 15 at 8:00, then see how the spirit moves me for
the second 15.

I will leave home at about 4:00 and should be at the 'finish' at 5:30-5:45.
Is there a map for the finish location? There was a map of the course, but I
could not find it when I looked just now.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I see that map, but it just has the meeting area; it would be useful to have the course, as I am running from the meeting area to the start, then back again.

Link below takes you to a map that shows the Course (white line), location
of start and finish, and route from Ellerbe.

I will be at the dog pen no later than 5:45 A.M. I have found that is
crucial to start the run no later than 6:00 A.M. I have run the course
in 1:35 However, I do not recommend this while running a double. If it
helps you out with travel you could come up Friday evening and stay at
my house. I live about 11 miles from the dog pen. Looking forward to
the rarified "classic" double shirt run.

Leaving home at 4 am should put me there at 5:30 according to map point, and
at that time in the morning, I should make good progress. My Saturday runs
all too often have me up at 4 am, so it's not going to be much earlier than
normal, though I do appreciate the offer of accommodation!

Hitting the road at 5:45 will give us some useful slack ;}

Thanks,

Jonathan
