Hi MTCers,

The Sandhills Striders will be sponsoring an 8 hour run around the lake at the Reservoir in Southern Pines on Dec 19.  It'll be a fat ass (no entry fee) and will be called "Rock Around the Lake".  It will start at 8:00 AM and will continue until 4 PM.  Anyone wanting to participate can start and finish at any time and will be able to log their laps on a board provided.  We are hoping to tie the event in with a charity group and will ask for a donation of a gift or food item, depending on the charity chosen.  Many more details will follow in the weeks ahead but just wanted to give everyone a heads up to save the date.  Any suggestions for the event are welcome.  Please reply to gotta...@gmail.com with any comments or suggestions. 

Also, Frank and I will be hosting a post race get together at our house in Pinehurst following the Pinehurst Turkey Trot on Nov 21 for both the Striders and the MTCers.  The get together will immediately follow the awards presentation.   More details to follow prior to the event.

Been planning to join the Striders.  I have most weekends off in Nov. so it'll be then.  I'm very excited about this event.  Please keep me informed.
