Does anyone have any details of the Vol State race? I could not find much online.

Stopped by the local sandwich shop for lunch, picked up a copy of the
November 2009 issue of Endurance magazine. There on the cover is MTC's own
Karla Werner. Great article inside on p. 12, including a picture of Karla
and Joey in Boston. The author did a wonderful job of capturing Karla's
inspirational spirit. Check it out - I've posted it on
www.tricharlotte.com.

Thanks for posting this Ron. It is a great story and hopefully it will be
seen as a great inspiration and give hope to others facing cancer. I have
always felt it a priviledge and honor to have Karla as my friend and
training partner. And if nothing changes it looks like she will make her
ultra debut at Derby this year and I look forward to running it with her. .

Yes, I am still planning on doing the Keys 100. I'm not sure how Vol State would fit in with my other race plans - I don't think the dates have been set yet.
