Why is there a large price difference between version 2 and version 1,
i.e. version 2 seems to be much cheaper.

the v2 requires a computer connection and the v1 is standalone.
here's a clip from the faq at the mandala site:
- Mandala 1.0 has a brain box with onboard sounds, effects and
presets. - Mandala 2.0 has no brain. It requires a connection via USB
to a computer, laptop or desktop (PC or MAC), and comes with
Synesthesia's proprietary software complete with a sound library of
more than 150 professionally sampled instruments and more than 100
original presets.

I have Mandala 2.0 (v2), barely used at all. Less than 1 hour of total use. I need to sell it to upgrade my computer; let me know if you're interested. I'll knock up to $100 off the new price and you get something that is basically new! I'm in New York, and I prefer to deal local with cash. Let me know! Feel free to test it out before buying it.
