I have gotten so far as to load in the samples iv got in into the
virtual brain.
They are showing up when i select the instrument rack 2. But when i
play them there is either silence or some other obscure sound playng.
Is there a program that i have to use in tandem with the virtual brain
to trigger the sample?
The sample i am trying to use is a fairly lengthy ambient wav clip.
I'm only playing my mandala through my macbook with headphones/
computer speakers.
cheers dave.
You are not hearing your sound most likely because it is not loading.
I would bet that in your status window at the very bottom when you try
to play your sample you are getting a 'not found' error, and that is
because the Virtual Brain isn't directed to the right place.
You have to make sure you have placed your samples in the UserSounds
folder and that the folder is where it belongs (which is right next to
the Virtual Brain application in the same folder). Then when you
choose your samples by using the 'Add Custom Sounds...' option be
sure you have navigated to that very UserSounds folder to find your
samples.
If that is not the error you get at the bottom of your status window
when you try to trigger the sample then possibly your wav file was
saved in some specific way that isn't compatible with the Brain. In
that case maybe resave it as an AIF or SD2.
