You could connect and set up each drum one at at time, so there's no
chance for control burst or the vb to mess up already finished
configurations.
- connect the pad you want to configure
- use control burst to set it up
- disconnect the drum
- close control burst
- connect the next pad and repeat (with the next midi channel)
If you use only battery to play and not the vb, be sure to avoid
starting the virtual brain at all, because it might mess up the
multipad configuration and you'd have to start all over again.
